The surrounding property will include a Sandstone Patio honoring the community impact created by the sandstone industry and its workers.

Blessing House

Blessing House serves as a safety net for families in crisis by providing a safe shelter for children and support for their family.
Blessing House provides a safe place for children up to 12 years old to stay when their families are experiencing an emergency.  We help keep children safe and families together, encouraging parents and caregivers to seek voluntary assistance when they need help.  We provide residential short-term care for children while assisting parents with information, referrals and other support.  50% of the funds donated today will be used to cover emergency costs for these families when in crisis.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio

Our mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio was formed in 2019 by the merger of Clubs in Lorain County, Cleveland, Akron and Sandusky. Clubs are safe, fun places for youth ages 6-18 to go after school, with a focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, character/leadership development and life/workforce readiness. Kids receive a free daily meal and get help from caring adult mentors. There is no charge to join a Club. BGCNEO has 32 Clubs in six Northeast Ohio counties, with 14 in Lorain County.

Brownhelm Historical Association

The mission of the Brownhelm Historical Association is to foster a sense of community, inspire an interest in the past, and preserve the history of the Brownhelm area.
The Brownhelm Historical Association (aka BHA) was formed in March 1993 as an organization dedicated to preserving the rich history of the people, places, and events of the Brownhelm area. Over the past 32 years the BHA has managed to reclaim the Lost Cemetery on Lake Rd. in Vermilion, restore the German Reformed Church on Claus Road, and preserve the Historic Brownhelm School and Museum on North Ridge Rd. The group regularly puts on community events and historical programs.

Camp IDEAS

Providing an academic enrichment summer camp for children with 'special needs' living or attending school in Lorain County
Lorain Lighthouse UMC is proud to have hosted Camp I.D.E.A.S. for the past 27 years.  Camp IDEAS offers 100 hours of academic reinforcement for students on IEPs during the summer.  Children ages 3-15,  enjoy academic, recreational, gross and fine motor skills and local field trips to enhance academics.  A select group of peers join campers for a fun-filled 4 weeks. Several former campers join our staff to experience THE REAL WORLD OF WORK FOR REAL PAY as part of their continuing education.

Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center

Our mission: Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center provides speech-language, hearing, language interpreting, and Deaf services. We advocate for equal access to information and communication and value all individuals' language choices equally.
Communication is the foundation of fulfilling relationships, educational achievement, and career success. But for many among us, deafness and communication disorders create barriers to engagement at home, school, and work. CHSC has been dedicated to communication health and access for over 100 years. The ESCLC Endowment Fund provides ongoing supplemental funding to enhance education beyond state mandates. It allocates community resources to support and improve educational programs and services under the oversight of the ESC of Lorain County.
The ESC Endowment Fund turns ideas into reality by empowering our preschool teachers, social workers, and staff with grant funding. Whether it's books that spark imagination, tools that support IEP students, or innovative classroom projects, these grants bring learning to life. With just a simple request, our educators can dream big and make a lasting impact, one grant, one child, one classroom at a time. We also award a $1000 teacher scholarship to one LC senior planning to major in education.

El Centro De Servicios Sociales Inc

Elyria City Schools Endowment Fund

The Elyria City Schools Endowment Funds are comprised of two funds: General and Fine Arts. Elyria Public Library Foundation

The Elyria Public Library Foundation seeks funds to support current library services and to build an endowment to secure the future financial stability of Elyria's public library system.
Since 2010, the Elyria Public Library Foundation has supplemented the library's operating funds and built an endowment for the library's benefit. Donations have been used for building repairs, a $25,000 gift toward the 2021 building projects, solar system lighting and stained-glass windows in the Children's Story Room, signage and display, two new mobility carts and a touch screen smart table, with plans developing in 2025 to sponsor a Speakers' Consortium of talks by famous authors.2,0002

Family Planning Services of Lorain County

Family Planning Services of Lorain County strengthens our community by providing accessible reproductive health care and educational services.
FPS has been serving Lorain County since 1969.  All patients receive high quality, low cost healthcare services regardless of the ability to pay.  From a wide variety of birth control options to STI testing to cancer screenings, we give each person the individualized care they need.  We offer same day and Saturday appointments.   Our amazing outreach team offers educational programs, offsite testing services and informational opportunities to this community.  Hope we can continue to serve.

FireFish Arts Inc.

As a non-profit community-based arts organization, we work to revitalize the city of Lorain through arts-based creative placemaking. We accomplish this by providing year-round arts programming, community art outreach, and the FireFish Festival.
Donations will go towards constructing the FireFish and paying for the materials needed to set the FireFish ablaze with flair and ceremony. Every year, the crowd shouts "Burn the Fire" as they witness the ritual being carried out ending in a burst of flames. The fish symbolizes Lake Erie, and the fire symbolizes steel and renewal. Lorain was once the "Steel City" and is now becoming a place where local businesses prosper on the banks of Lake Erie and the Black River.

Firelands Schools Endowment Fund

The Firelands Endowment Fund shall be used for the support and enhancement of Education within the Firelands Local School District.  Funds will be used for scholarships and for staff grants to enhance educational experiences at all grade levels.  Last year, the Trustees were able to award over $55,000 in scholarships and grants; all because of the tremendous support of our donors.  Thank you to all alumni, community members and staff for their continued commitment to the Firelands Endowment.

Foundation of the Lorain Public Library System

The Foundation of the Lorain Public Library is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in each community it serves by supporting and strengthening the activities of the Lorain Public Library System.
The Foundation partners with the Lorain Public Library System (LPLS) to help finance, advance, and strengthen the Library's goals, objectives, and priorities on behalf of, and for the benefit of, the communities we serve. We believe that thriving communities have flourishing libraries. Funds raised during C2C 2025 benefit the unique, no-cost, Level Up Tutoring program.  Support in 2024 enabled LPLS to tutor 91 students representing 26 different Lorain schools. Friendship Animal Protective League

FAPL is dedicated to ensuring that no companion animal suffers without basic necessities to live a healthy life, providing education to promote & nurture the human/animal bond and treating all who seek our help with dignity, kindness and respect.
Friendship APL is a private, independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) humane society founded in Elyria, Ohio in 1957. We own and operate the largest animal shelter in Lorain County. Friendship APL receives no government funding. We depend on the generosity and financial support of friends and neighbors, and on various fundraisers, to serve the people and animals of Lorain County. Last year we assisted over 6,500 animals through our adoption program, humane investigations, and our spay & neuter clinic.

Friends of the Elyria Public Library

To maintain as association of persons interested in the Elyria Public Library System and concerned for its welfare, and to bring awareness of the library's importance in our community.
We support the library and its importance to Elyria. We fund some of the libraries' most important programs and encourage its connection and service to the community. Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Since expanding into Lorain in 2022, Habitat has reopened the Amherst ReStore and integrated into the community through partnerships with many organizations. Habitat recently announced collaborative projects with the city of Lorain and the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority as part of LMHA's Choice Neighborhood program. Habitat has also committed to investing $600,000 in critical home repair in Lorain County, helping ensure families in the area have a safe, affordable place to live.

Recognizing the lasting consequences of war on combat veterans and their families, Hearts of Patriots supports programs helping to improve their quality-of-life, and when other agencies are unable, provide critical and sometimes life changing help.
Many combat veterans and their families face lasting consequences of war, often falling through the cracks of other services. Hearts of Patriots looks at the family holistically, addressing critical needs and providing quality-of-life programs that show just getting by isn't enough. Our support alleviates financial strain, enabling families to experience stability, hope, and the care they deserve. Together, we make a lasting difference.

Jacob's Ladder Special Needs Fitness

We are a Christian non-profit organization providing fitness services to those with disabilities
Jacob's Ladder Fitness 2024 Highlights - Updated Jan 2025 
  • 13 exercise classes per week , and 1 Zoom class.
  • 10 exercise sites including Columbia Station and Strongsville Schools. Also, 2 boxing sessions at Cleveland Sight Center and 8 sessions/30 individuals at Camp Sunshine.
  • Two service models; 1.) We go to the site 2.) Students attend our sites.
  • In 2024 220 individuals with disabilities exercised 1-2 hrs. per week, plus FCA and Camp Sunshine.
  • A total of 7,450 exercise hours occurred!

Legacy Youth Boxing Club Corp.

At Legacy Youth Boxing Club we provide an empowering space where we help participants develop character through the discipline of boxing. 

Over the years our equipment has are becoming worn out and will soon be no longer be safe such as boxing gloves losing padding, jump ropes are starting to break, as well as tearing on our boxing ring canvas flooring. New equipment would allow us to better serve our athletes as well as improve safety at our facility.

Legal Aid Society of Cleveland

Legal Aid’s mission is to secure justice, equity, and access to opportunity for and with people who have low incomes through passionate legal representation and advocacy for systemic change.
Your support will provide free legal services to families who face eviction, students who need supportive services in school, older adults who were denied public benefits, families who are experiencing domestic violence, and hard-working individuals who face barriers to stable employment.

Let's Get Real's mission is to provide information, education, and resource assistance to families and loved ones in their journey from addiction to recovery.
Let's Get Real, Inc.(LGR) is a 501(c)3 non profit Recovery Community Organization based in Lorain and Huron County. With the help of Certified Peer Supporters we can help with the process of finding help for your loved one, or support for yourself. LGR makes this process easier while providing emotional support we will also assist in finding detox and treatment, transportation, as well as other sober supports. The disease of addiction and alcoholism has no boundaries but we are here to help.

Our goal is for all Lorain City Schools students to be college & career-ready upon graduation. Graduates will enroll in college, secure a job, start an apprenticeship, or join the military.
The Lorain City School Endowment Funds support education, fine arts, and staff recognition & retention, creating a lasting source of supplemental funding. This school and community effort enriches student experiences by funding valuable programs. Grants, awarded through an application process, help purchase equipment, supplies, and services beyond the regular budget. These funds ensure students have access to engaging opportunities that improve the overall quality of education.

The Lorain County Historical Society collects, preserves, and shares the history of Lorain County to educate and inspire present and future generations.
This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Hickories becoming LCHS's first permanent museum and raising funds to preserve this architectural treasure. Built by businessman and innovator Arthur L. Garford in 1894, The Hickories is an excellent example of shingle style architecture. It was the first house in Elyria to have electricity, gas lighting, and indoor plumbing. Our goal is to raise $7,500 for planned improvements in this anniversary year. Thank you for your support!

Lorain County Imagination Library mails a free book every month to children from birth until their fifth birthday.
Working to provide early literacy opportunities to local children, Lorain County Imagination Library provides free books to children from birth until their fifth birthday. Books are addressed to the child and mailed directly to the child's home, enabling them to build a library of their very own. The Imagination Library program has been proven to improve kindergarten readiness, strengthen caregiver relationships, and build lifelong readers.

The Lorain Lighthouse Foundation helps to improve the vitality of our community by promoting tourism.  By attracting tourists from throughout the state of Ohio and from other states, the Lighthouse dinners and tours encourage economic development and activities.  The number of people visiting the Lorain Lighthouse is approximately 1,500 annually.  Our projects and programs primarily serve the City of Lorain and Lorain County, but we also have visitors from Northern Ohio and all over the U.S.

"Judy" is just one of the 7,500 local people who gets food from the OCS pantry. A senior on a fixed income, she cares for a sister who has a permanent disability. "Without OCS, I don't know how I could afford to eat," she said, her voice shaking. The pantry is also crucial for "Mike" and his two kids — Mike works full time but struggles to keep up with the soaring costs of groceries, rent, and medicine. With your support, OCS can provide emergency food relief to THOUSANDS of people this year.

Primary Purpose Center, Inc.

Since 2017, Primary Purpose Center has provided level 2 & level 3 Supportive Recovery Housing for Men & Women in Lorain County & surrounding areas.  The only recovery housing organization accredited by CARF (Commission of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities & ORH (Ohio Recovery Housing).  Our level 3 program provides residents with 7+ hours of program Monday - Friday; including IOP, 12 step groups, religious services, and peer recovery supports at no cost to the resident. ​

The Spirit of '76 Museum continues with our goal to update, organize, and showcase the items on our 3rd floor. We have early farm equipment, Village electricity and water artifacts, tools, cheese manufacturing, blacksmithing, and more. We welcome visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from April through October. No admission is charged. We feature Archibald Willard, painter of the famous Spirit of '76 and other paintings, a military collection, a library, toys, clothing, and too many items to list!

To advocate for children dealing with abuse and neglect
Voices for Children has a mission to provide CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem) services for children in Lorain County who have experienced abuse and neglect. We train community volunteers to advocate in court for these children, ensuring that each child has one dedicated volunteer representing their best interests and preventing them from getting lost in the system. Community funding provides for recruitment, training, and support of our volunteers.

We are a faith-based nonprofit that provides a food pantry, clothing closet and residential home for young people facing homelessness.
My House is the only residential program in Lorain County for young adults aging out of foster care and/or facing homelessness. We have housed nearly two dozen young men and women since we opened in 2021. We help them graduate from high school or college and teach them life skills to help them become independent. My House operates on a shoestring budget - powerful results with little funding! Your support is so much appreciated. Thank you.

Providing money to K-12 students in the district in 3 ways. Scholarships, teacher grants, and a saving for college match program. Every student in the district experiences educational enrichment opportunities thanks to the Endowment Fund.
The Wellington Schools Endowment funds non-required school programs like fine and performing arts field trips. Endowment also provides money for students in all grades, kindergarten through senior year, in three unique ways: scholarships, teacher grants, and a saving for college match program. Thanks to the Endowment, all of our Wellington Dukes can experience educational enrichment programs and unique opportunities they would not normally be able to attend.

Rehabilitation and Operation of Historic Home Built by African American Abolitionist
Help us rehabilitate and open to the public the Oberlin home built beginning in 1854 by Wilson Bruce Evans, an African American abolitionist and Underground Railroad operative. We will tell the story of Evans, his family and descendants, and this community, and their importance in the long struggle for equality. When open, we will offer tours and programming on Black history; serve local students as an educational resource; and carry forward the work of racial justice.
